Just Arrived!
Let’s extend a warm welcome to photographer Ron Nelson and his truly spectacular historic racing images. Ron’s photography goes back to 1956, the second year that Elkhart Lake (now Road America) was open. His galleries include some incredible early images of many of the racing greats—Jim Clark, Stirling Moss, Dan Gurney, A.J. Foyt and others—taken at classic tracks like Indianapolis, Watkins Glen, Elkhart Lake and other venues around the country. His images are really a must see for any racing historian. We’ll be bringing a few his classic shots printed on brushed aluminum to the Amelia Island Concours, March 7-10. Stop by if your in the area!
Illustrator David Townsend has been hard at it working on his series of Porsche 356 drawings. Currently available are the 356A and 356B in all versions—coupe, Convertible D, cabriolet, and speedster—including the Carrera variations. We’ve been printing these on the new brushed aluminum and they look just spectacular. David’s even made available a stand alone drawing of the famous “Furhman” Type 547 Carrera motor. We understand he has plans to start work on the 356C cars very soon and will be including a sprinkling of famous Porsche 356 competition cars as well. Should be a fabulous series!
